Fighting against Covid India come out with CoWin

The first thing that comes to mind while remembering about the last year is #Covid19 or #Crona. We all were locked into the home due to lockdown. This was an unexpectable medical emergency which has jolted the world. From the last year researchers of almost every country were on the way to invent the medicine for altogether novel deceases called #Crona. But the beginning of new started with a new wave of #vacination. The scientist has developed a medicine to get rid of the dragon now.

#India today have started with first #IndigenousCovid19vaccine named #COVAXIN developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with Indian Council of Medicine Research (ICMR) — National Institute of Virology (NIV). The indigenous, inactivated vaccine is developed and manufactured in Bharat Biotech’s BSL-3 (Bio-Safety Level 3) high containment facility. The vaccine is approved by Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) for Phase I & II Human Clinical Trials and the trials originated across India from July, 2020. After successful completion of the interim analysis from the Phase 1 & 2 clinical trials of #COVAXIN, Bharat Biotech received DCGI approval for Phase 3 clinical trials in 26,000 participants in over 25 centres across India.

On Saturday, the central government initiated the #coronavirus vaccine programme. The Government has created the Covid Vaccine Intelligence Network #CoWin app to handle the immunization campaign later. #CoWin is not available for download as of now. If released, the application would encourage users to register for vaccination. The centre now inoculates almost three crore healthcare practitioners and other frontline staff. The software, which is now used by policemen, includes lakhs of health workers who have been vaccinated first. When the app is started, it provides the beneficiaries with three registration options — self-registration, single registration (a government official would be helpful with data uploading) and mass uploading.
